Our state is in the midst of a measles outbreak just as kids are heading back to school.

I am deeply concerned to read that Wisconsin’s childhood vaccine rates, including for measles, mumps and rubella (MMR), remain among the lowest in the nation (“Wisconsin kindergarten vaccine rates remain low as measles cases climb,” Aug. 18).

This leaves our kids vulnerable to outbreaks, especially in classroom settings.
